Honda CBR150R parts

 —  Parts by model

Honda CBR150R parts have been part of what we sell out of Ladprao, Bangkok since the carburettor model was a current Thai-market machine. The bike was never sold in most of the countries our customers write from, which is the whole reason this page exists.

Carburettor or injection — work out which one you have first

There are two CBR150Rs and they do not share their parts. The earlier bike is the carburettor model; the later one is fuel-injected, and its bodywork and accessories were catalogued together with the CBR125R of the same period rather than with the older bike.

Almost every wrong order we have seen on this model comes from that split. Fairing panels, cowls, screens, tail lights and rearsets differ between the two, and a photograph of your machine from the front three-quarter angle usually settles it faster than a year does — particularly on a bike that has been imported second-hand and repainted.

What we supply as Honda CBR150R parts

The range we built up for this bike is Thai and Japanese aftermarket kit alongside genuine Honda components. Broadly it falls into four groups.

  • Engine and performance. Racing exhaust systems and downpipes, racing CDI units, camshafts, big-bore kits, forged pistons, standard cylinder heads, cylinders, crankshafts and piston kits, plus Keihin flat-slide carburettors for the earlier bike. Brands we have ordered from directly include Endurance and DBS.
  • Drivetrain and chassis. Front and rear sprockets in a range of tooth counts, racing and street clutch plates and springs, YSS shock absorbers in street and racing specification, frame sliders and engine protectors.
  • Cockpit and controls. Aluminium rearsets in several finishes, adjustable and fixed lever kits, handlebars, and carriers for a Givi top box.
  • Bodywork and cosmetics. Fairing kits, front fenders, rear seat cowls, huggers, belly pans, screens and cowl covers, in fibreglass and in carbon, plus tank pads, sticker kits and rim stickers.

Around those four groups sits the accessory end of the list: tank bags and pillion bags, a bike cover, a U-lock, throttle paddle controls in several colours, replacement and LED tail lights, and the decal sets — rim stickers, tank and tank-cap pads, wing marks and the various racing liveries and year marks that were sold as separate sheets rather than as one kit.

Gearing, brakes and the parts people ask for by number

Two areas generate more email than the rest put together, and both are worth a sentence here so you know what to ask for.

Gearing is the first. Drive sprockets were listed across a spread of tooth counts and rear sprockets across a wider one still, from close to standard up to the very short gearing used for short circuits. Tell us the chain pitch you are running and what the bike is for — commuting, track days, a tight kart circuit — rather than guessing at a tooth count, because the useful answer is a pair of sprockets rather than one.

Braking is the second. Our archived list carried an oversized front disc for this bike alongside the standard replacement parts, and calipers, pads, lines and master cylinder components come through the genuine channel. A brake upgrade is one place where telling us the fork and wheel you have matters more than telling us the model year.

Exhausts sit somewhere between the two. Full systems, slip-on cans and downpipes for the standard silencer were all listed, in oval and multi-can shapes and in more than one material, and the injection bike takes different pipework from the carburettor one. An exhaust that changes the fuelling is worth ordering in the same conversation as the ignition and carburettor parts rather than on its own.

Fairings and painted parts

This is worth saying plainly because it surprises people. The fibreglass fairing parts are supplied gel-coated in white, or in black where that was offered, and are not finished. Final painting is the customer’s job, and so is any fitting adjustment a replacement panel needs.

Race bodywork asks more of you again: some of it was made to be fitted with the standard lighting and mirrors removed, and at least one race tail section needs the rear subframe cut and modified. If you are ordering bodywork for a road bike, tell us that first so we point you at the street kit rather than the race one.

The individual panels were listed separately as well as in kits — front cowls, side cowls, belly pans, seat cowls and covers, front fenders in fibreglass and in carbon, tank covers and rear huggers — so if you have broken one panel there is usually no need to buy a whole set. Screens and windshield covers were offered clear and tinted, with matching cowls.

Genuine Honda spares

Original Honda spare parts for the CBR150R are available alongside the aftermarket range. Genuine ordering runs on part numbers, so send one if you have it. If you do not, send the part name with your frame number — the frame number is the only thing that reliably tells us which version of the bike we are quoting for. Genuine parts ordered from Japan are normally available in about four working days when the factory is not backordered.

The parts from Japan page lists the marques and makers we deal with there, and the order policy covers identification, payment and what happens after a parcel leaves us.

Ordering and shipping from Thailand

Nothing is sold from a live catalogue. You send an enquiry, we check the supply source in Thailand or in Japan, and we reply by email with availability and a price in Thai Baht. Payment is by bank transfer, credit card through a secure link, or PayPal.

Parts are packed at our own premises. Postal EMS from Thailand or Japan runs about four to seven days; postal air parcel is about two weeks where EMS does not reach. Fairing kits and exhausts are bulky rather than heavy, so they usually travel by courier or air cargo, and the shipping cost goes into the quotation before you commit to anything. Import duty and tax fall due in your own country and are yours to pay.

Once an order has shipped we cannot take it back except for a manufacturer’s fault, and parts cannot be returned to Thailand. That is exactly why we would rather spend an extra email on identification than send you the wrong cowl.

Ask for a quotation

Tell us whether the bike is the carburettor or the injection model, send the part number or the part name with your frame number, and give us the destination country and the quantity. Photographs help more on this bike than on most, because so many have been modified.

Request a quote for CBR150R parts, or ask about a specific area of the bike with a category already selected: engine and performance, bodywork, drivetrain or genuine parts. Other machines we cover are listed on the model index.
